Show 46: Excerpt - Hannah Goes to College

Hannah's senior picture

AT FIRST GLANCE, people often mistakenly categorize Hannah as a person who wouldn’t be able to function either mentally or physically. She was born with cerebral palsy and has been in a wheel chair her entire life. But later this month, she is heading off to the University of Washington with a full scholarship she received from the Stamps Foundation for her leadership skills. It’s one step closer to achieving her goal of attaining greater independence, and she says she’s up for the challenge - her parents have made sure to raise her that way.

Contributor Ann Kaiser introduces us to this inspiring young woman.
