FATHERHOOD TODAY - is it different than when you were a child? What are the essential roles that dads play in and out of the home? How are masculinity, fathering a child and caring for a child all linked? The three dads on today's show discuss what it means to be a good father, how masculinity and fatherhood go hand in hand and how things have changed since they were boys. IN-STUDIO GUESTS: It's all dads, all hour this week on a very special encore broadcast of Kids These Days! just in time for Father's Day. Host, Shana Sheehy, is joined by three local fathers - Kurt Bunker, Krestia DeGeorge and Jason Hilde to talk about the important roles that fathers are playing in family life - whether staying at home with the kids or enduring long business trips away from home - these men say being a Dad These Days is all about determining what is best for your family and making it work. FEATURED STORIES: Tom Matlack, founder of The Good Men Project, a foundation and an online magazine says that men need to be having the important, ongoing conversation about their roles as men and fathers these days. He spoke with producer Sarah Gonzales from Boston about what it takes to be a good man. (More: @tmatlack) New contributor, Ben Anderson, went to Service High School to find out what teenage boys have to say about being a man: when does a boy become a man, what if your wife makes more money than you and would you ever be a stay-at-home dad? Speaking of stay-at-home-dads... Chris Paoli cares for the kids while his wife works full-time. He also cooks, cleans, fixes things and writes really smart essays about why being labeled a "stay-at-home-dad" gets under his skin.
