Alaska Community Services is a statewide organization with the motto "Helping Alaska's Seniors Help Alaska" and they do that in a variety of ways including through their Foster Grandparents Program.

In the Southcentral region there are about 50 seniors who are foster grandparents and most of them spend 20-plus hours a week volunteering. Zandra Kinnie is one of those grandparents who helps students and staff at various elementary schools. Host Shana Sheehy spoke with her to learn about the difference she has been making in the lives of kids for the last 16 years...
