Alaska Community Services is a statewide organization with the motto "Helping Alaska's Seniors Help Alaska" and they do that in a variety of ways including through their Foster Grandparents Program.
In the Southcentral region there are about 50 seniors who are foster grandparents and most of them spend 20-plus hours a week volunteering. Zandra Kinnie is one of those grandparents who helps students and staff at various elementary schools.
