From our first show Babes in the Woods KTD! presents an advance clip that will be heard next week when the show debuts on KSKA-FM 91.1 at 2pm, rebroadcasting at 7pm.
Contributor Jessica Cochran (at left) spoke to Martin LeBlanc, Vice President and co-founder (along with Richard Louv) at the Children & Nature Network where their goal is to get kids outside - no matter if they live in urban or rural areas.
As well, Jessica speaks with Carmen Field, an educator and naturalist at the Kachemak Bay Research Reserve, who discusses some of the local barriers that keep Alaska kids inside, and how to overcome them.
Be sure to tune in next Tuesday at 2pm to listen to the debut show of Kids These Days! in its entirety when we'll hear from Jen Aist, author of Babes in the Woods: Hiking, Camping and Boating With Babies and Young Children, we'll hear more from Jessica and also from the folks behind the Chugach Children's Forest.
